American Kitsch~ custard stand

I'm on the lookout this summer for American kitsch. It won't be hard to find. First stop, Tasty Treat on route 78. Cherry-vanilla swirl custard on a sugar cone. The verdict? Big yum.

  1. Oh, what a great start! I love custard. This is a ritual for us in the summer on a balmy midwestern evening.

  2. OH YUM! This takes me right back to my childhood when my dad would load us all into the car after dinner and we'd go out for an ice cream cone. Ah...memories!

  3. I've never tasted frozen custard but I'm pretty sure I'd love it! What a great start to your kitsch collection!!! It reminds me of the roadhouses of my childhood. Food always tasted amazing and everything looked so pretty...

  4. No big yak! I don't like icecream (I know I'm probably the only one here ;-)
Do love the kitsch (didn't know you knew this word too in your language) American things though.

  6. Sounds delicious. We don't have it here. Unless maybe it is soft serve ice cream?
